Founded in 1994 by engineer Jim Oliver, AvL Technologies is a privately held company headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, specializing in the design, development, and production of mobile satellite antenna and positioner systems for vehicle-mount, flyaway, and fixed Earth station applications. The company offers antennas ranging from 60cm to 5.0M and reports more than 35,000 units fielded worldwide, including systems supporting U.S. military and emergency response operations. Its Asheville campus encompasses approximately 110,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with an additional regional office in the UK.
