Celestis

Celestis, founded in 1994 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, is the pioneer of commercial memorial spaceflight services. The company launches symbolic portions of cremated remains or DNA as secondary payloads on real space missions, with destination options including near-space, Earth orbit, the lunar surface, and deep space. Celestis conducted its first memorial spaceflight in 1997 and has since completed missions for more than 1,000 families across more than 20 countries.
