Closed US space tourism company that sold $95,000 suborbital seats aboard XCOR Aerospace's Lynx rocketplane
RocketShip Tours was a Phoenix, Arizona-based space tourism company founded in 2008 by travel entrepreneur Jules H. Klar, acting as the exclusive global sales agent for XCOR Aerospace's two-seat Lynx suborbital vehicle. The company sold tickets at $95,000 per seat, including medical screening and pre-flight training, with the first sale announced in December 2008. Due to repeated delays in Lynx development and XCOR Aerospace's Chapter 7 bankruptcy in November 2017, RocketShip Tours never facilitated any actual spaceflights and is now permanently closed.
