Thales Alenia Space is a joint venture between Thales Group (67%) and Leonardo (33%), founded in 2007 and headquartered in Cannes, France. The company designs, builds, and operates satellite-based systems for telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, and space exploration. It is Europe's largest satellite manufacturer and has been a major industrial contributor to programs including the International Space Station, the Galileo navigation system, and the Lunar Gateway. The company employs approximately 8,500 people across facilities in Europe and the United States.
