Vector Space Systems, later rebranded as Vector Launch, was founded in 2016 by veterans from SpaceX and other aerospace firms to provide small satellite launch services for government and commercial customers. The company developed the Daytona launch vehicle for delivering small satellites to orbit and the Phantom Cloud orbital data center infrastructure, alongside a software-defined satellite platform called GalacticSky. Vector Launch raised a total of approximately $97.75 million before ceasing operations in January 2021.
