Artemis Program

PROGRAM

NASA's program to return humans to the Moon and establish a sustained presence — the anchor demand-pull for cislunar industry.

DEFINITION

Artemis is NASA's human exploration program with the near-term goal of returning crew to the lunar surface (Artemis III), establishing the Lunar Gateway station in cislunar space, and building toward sustained presence. SLS, Orion, Starship HLS, Blue Moon, and a wide commercial ecosystem of suits, science, and surface systems all sit under Artemis.

WHY IT MATTERS

Artemis is the single largest demand-pull for cislunar industry. Almost every US lunar startup's customer roadmap routes through Artemis, CLPS, or Gateway. International partners (Canada, Japan, ESA, UAE) connect via the Artemis Accords.
