Benchmark Space Systems designs and manufactures in-space propulsion systems spanning chemical, electric, and hybrid architectures. Founded in 2017 in Burlington, Vermont, the company provides turn-key propulsion products for spacecraft from 3U cubesats to ESPA-class orbital transfer vehicles. Its chemical propulsion line includes Halcyon high-test peroxide and ASCENT-fueled thrusters with flight heritage. Benchmark also offers integrated solutions including the High-Energy Logistics Stage for rapid payload transfer beyond LEO, the Aquila hybrid kickstage, and RIPCORD, an attachable propulsion system for debris remediation developed with Astroscale. The company has launched 13 propulsion systems and operates facilities in Burlington and Pleasanton, California.
