Fergani Space
Develops commercial satellites, satellite components, and orbit transfer vehicles powered by proprietary hybrid propulsion technology
Fergani Space is a Turkish space technology company founded in 2022 by Baykar Chairman Selcuk Bayraktar. The company designs and manufactures commercial satellites, satellite components, space payloads, and orbit transfer vehicles using proprietary hybrid propulsion technology. In December 2025, Fergani achieved the first-ever orbital ignition of a hybrid rocket engine when its FGN-TUG-S01 orbital transfer vehicle fired its main engine in space. The company is building the Ulug Bey Global Positioning System, a constellation of 100 kg class micro satellites providing communication and positioning services across Ku, Ka, S, and L bands. Fergani launched its first test satellite FGN-100-D1 in January 2025 and its second, FGN-100-D2, in November 2025 via SpaceX rideshare missions. Based in Istanbul, the company draws significant engineering talent from Baykar Technologies and Turkish Aerospace, and develops its own ground segment facilities for satellite control and communication.
