Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gazprom, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Shchelkovo, Moscow region. The company operates the Yamal satellite communication and broadcasting system, comprising five geostationary satellites (Yamal-202, Yamal-300K, Yamal-401, Yamal-402, and Yamal-601) spanning an orbital arc from 49°E to 183°E. GSS provides fixed satellite services including voice, data, internet, and broadcasting across Russia, the CIS, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific, serving Gazprom Group companies, government institutions, broadcasting companies, and commercial customers.
