Leanspace
Cloud-native platform-as-a-service for satellite and ground segment operations
Leanspace, founded in 2020 in Strasbourg, France, builds a cloud-native, API-first software platform that handles the common functions satellite operators, launcher companies, and ground station networks need to run their missions. Rather than requiring each organization to rebuild the same generic infrastructure from scratch, Leanspace packages those shared capabilities as modular cloud services consumable via API, letting customers integrate only what they need into their own systems. The platform covers satellite monitoring and control, mission planning, ground segment orchestration, and hardware testing. It serves small satellite operators, in-orbit services vehicles, constellations, and launch providers, across customers ranging from startups to government agencies. The founding team, which includes French, Spanish, Canadian, and Indian co-founders, came out of prior careers building and selling space software and designed the platform specifically to eliminate the repeated wheel-reinvention they observed across the industry.
