Mithril Technologies
Develops deployable mesh reflector antennas and adaptive radar systems for satellite communications and RF situational awareness in GEO and higher orbits
Mithril Technologies develops electrostatically-actuated deployable mesh reflector antennas for satellite communications and space-based radar in geostationary and higher orbits. The company's core technology, originating from MIT's Aerospace Materials and Structures Lab, enables reflector antennas that can be reshaped and steered in orbit, combining the range of large aperture antennas with software-defined reconfigurability. Primary applications include resilient satellite communications and RF situational awareness from GEO and cislunar orbits. The company participates in DARPA's ERIS program and was selected for the NATO DIANA accelerator cohort in 2025. Mithril Technologies is also a Techstars Space Accelerator graduate and is currently based at Greentown Labs in Somerville, Massachusetts, where it is advancing manufacturing and prototyping toward an on-orbit demonstrator. The company targets both defense and commercial customers seeking next-generation antenna systems for underserved orbital regimes beyond low Earth orbit.
