NematX AG is a Zürich-based industrial 3D printer and materials company founded in 2020 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich. The company develops its proprietary "Nematic 3D Printing" technology, which enables the use of liquid crystal polymers (LCP) in additive manufacturing by controlling material microstructure during printing. Its NEX 01 hardware platform and proprietary LCP filaments target industries including aerospace, space, medical, and electronics. In 2024, Polyplastics made a strategic investment in the company.
