NEUMANN SPACE
Australian developer of the Neumann Drive®, an in-space electric propulsion system using solid metal propellant
Neumann Space, founded in 2015 and headquartered in Kent Town, South Australia, develops, manufactures, and tests the Neumann Drive®, an electric propulsion system for spacecraft that uses solid conductive metal as propellant. The technology is based on a patented Centre-Triggered Pulsed Cathodic Arc Thruster (CT-PCAT) that converts solid metal into plasma to generate thrust. The system is designed for applications ranging from nanosatellites to larger spacecraft, supporting mission profiles such as orbit raising, station keeping, constellation phasing, and de-orbiting. Neumann Space operates its own Assembly, Integration and Test facility in Adelaide and serves both commercial and defence customers.
