Founded in 2022 by Rahul Goel and headquartered in Markham, Ontario, NordSpace is developing the Taiga suborbital and Tundra orbital launch vehicles alongside the Athena satellite bus. The company is building the Atlantic Spaceport Complex in Newfoundland and Labrador, which received environmental approval in early 2026, and conducted a Taiga launch campaign in August 2025 that did not result in a launch. NordSpace has received funding from the Canadian Department of National Defence, the Canadian Space Agency, and NGen, and launched NordSpace Ventures with an investment in satellite company Wyvern.
