North American Aviation (NAA) was a major American aerospace manufacturer founded on December 6, 1928, by Clement Melville Keys, initially as a holding company before transitioning into aircraft and spacecraft production. Its products included the P-51 Mustang, B-25 Mitchell, F-86 Sabre, X-15 rocket plane, and the Apollo command and service module, as well as the second stage of the Saturn V rocket. The company was headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and operated divisions including Rocketdyne, Autonetics, and Atomics International until it merged in March 1967 to form North American Rockwell, which eventually became part of Boeing.
