North Propulsion

Founded in 2023 and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, North Propulsion develops off-the-shelf chemical propulsion systems for microsatellites. Its bi-propellant thruster product uses nitrous oxide and ethane, offering up to 20x faster deployment maneuvering, instant collision avoidance, and delta-v-efficient deorbiting. The system features eight steady-state 1 N thrusters per satellite with single-point-failure tolerance and is designed for high-volume production. The company has received backing from ESA BIC Denmark, Innovation Fund Denmark, and a spinout from the Technical University of Denmark.
