OPUS Aerospace is a French newspace startup founded in 2019 and headquartered in Brétigny-sur-Orge that designs, manufactures, and operates launch vehicles and space systems for small satellites. Its Mésange vehicle is a suborbital sounding rocket developed under an R&D contract with CNES, with a planned launch from the Guiana Space Centre, and serves as a technology demonstrator for the Sterne orbital launcher targeting payloads of up to 250 kg. The company has also signed an MoU with MIDANA to enable sounding-rocket testing and launch capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
