OroraTech, founded in 2018 and headquartered in Munich, Germany, builds and operates a constellation of thermal-infrared satellites for wildfire risk assessment, early detection, real-time monitoring, and damage analysis. As of early 2026, the company operates 14 thermal satellites—more than any other nation or company—and monitors over 407 million hectares daily. Customers include government agencies and commercial forestry organizations, with contracts covering the state of Idaho, Greece's national wildfire satellite system, and Argentina's Rio Negro province.
