ParaLoon is a space technology start-up founded in 2023 and based in Essen, Germany. The company is developing inflatable parabolic concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) systems intended for both space and terrestrial solar power applications. Its name is derived from "parabolic balloon," reflecting its core focus on inflatable, unfoldable structures designed to reduce launch mass and volume. The team originated from a space entrepreneurship course organized by the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability.
