LEO satellite connectivity startup using 5G-NTN to link small satellites into existing broadband constellations
Founded in 2025 and based on research from a master's thesis in electrical engineering, PermaSat develops hardware and software that connects small LEO satellites to existing large-scale broadband constellations using the 5G-NTN standard. The approach aims to replace intermittent ground-station-dependent links with near-continuous connectivity, reducing operational complexity for satellite operators. PermaSat is currently part of the ESA BIC Denmark incubation programme and has a team of three.
