Preligens, founded in 2016 in Paris by Arnaud Guérin and Renaud Allioux, develops AI algorithms and software to automatically detect, classify, and identify military objects using satellite imagery and other geospatial data sources. The company raised a total of $27.17M and signed a seven-year agreement with France's arms procurement agency, DGA. In September 2024, Safran acquired Preligens for 220 million euros, and the company was rebranded as Safran.AI, becoming a subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense.
