Sateliot
Operates the first LEO satellite constellation delivering 5G NB-IoT connectivity from space, extending cellular IoT coverage globally
Sateliot operates the first low Earth orbit satellite constellation built on the 3GPP Release 17 5G NB-IoT standard, providing global IoT connectivity from space. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Barcelona, the company extends terrestrial cellular networks to areas without ground coverage, enabling standard commercial IoT devices to connect via satellite using existing SIM cards. Sateliot has launched six satellites to date, including four in its Revolution mission in August 2024, and is developing the next-generation Tritó satellite platform at its 5G satellite development center in Barcelona. The company serves over 400 customers across 50 countries in sectors including agriculture, maritime logistics, energy, environmental monitoring, and defense. Sateliot operates as a wholesale provider, partnering with mobile network operators to deliver seamless roaming between terrestrial and satellite networks. The company is an active contributor to the 3GPP standards body and a full member of the GSMA, and is supported by investors including the European Investment Bank, Indra, Cellnex, and Hyperion Fund.
