Satelles

Satelles, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, provides secure positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) signals from low Earth orbit via its STL (Satellite Time and Location) service. The cryptographically protected satellite broadcast operates independently of GPS/GNSS and is designed to protect critical infrastructure such as electrical grids, communications networks, and financial systems from timing and location disruptions. Satelles partners with satellite receiver manufacturers to integrate STL support into commercial and government equipment and was subsequently acquired by Iridium Communications, becoming Iridium's PNT division.
