Sen
Sen streams real-time ultra-high definition video of Earth from its own satellite constellation
Sen is a London-based space media company founded in 2014 by Charles Black. Its core product is a live video streaming service built on a constellation of small satellites equipped with steerable UHD cameras, branded internally as EarthTV. In February 2019, Sen launched its first satellite and demonstrated 4K video capture from orbit using six cameras. NanoAvionics was contracted to build the first five nano-satellites of the constellation, and Momentus was awarded a contract for orbital deployment of those satellites. Video content is intended to be freely accessible to individuals via a web platform and smartphone app, while businesses and government organisations can access a premium data tier and an open-source platform for building analytics on top of the video data. The name Sen is an acronym for Space Exploration Network.
