Spacety
Small satellite manufacturer operating a dual-band SAR constellation for all-weather Earth observation and providing satellites-as-a-service for rapid in-orbit technology demonstrations
About
Spacety is a Chinese commercial space company founded in 2016 that designs, manufactures, and operates small satellites and provides satellite-based services globally. The company offers Satellites-as-a-Service enabling rapid, low-cost in-orbit demonstrations for research institutions, universities, and commercial customers. Spacety is building a dual-band SAR constellation using C-band and X-band sensors for all-weather Earth observation imagery. The Hisea-1 satellite, launched in December 2020, was the world's first commercial C-band smallsat SAR with a phased-array antenna. By May 2025, the company had completed 20 launch missions and placed over 36 satellites into orbit. Spacety maintains operations in Changsha, Beijing, Luxembourg, and Esch-sur-Alzette.
