Stara Space

Stara Space provides space infrastructure as a service, operating a planned constellation of nano-satellites that offer secure data relay, storage, and computation capabilities for satellite operators in low Earth orbit. The company targets small satellite operators that lack the capital and technical resources to build their own communication networks, offering affordable subscription-based access to its space-to-space mesh networking infrastructure. Stara completed its NOOR-1 pathfinder mission in December 2019, deploying two PocketQube-class satellites aboard a Rocket Lab Electron launch vehicle to demonstrate LEO-to-LEO inter-satellite links, encrypted communication, and integration with ground station software. The company maintains offices in Manhattan Beach, California; Vancouver, Washington; and Miami Beach, Florida. Its team includes veterans from SpaceX, Spire, and Hyperloop One.
