TRL11 builds video hardware and software for spacecraft operations, with products spanning cameras, video recorders, connectivity devices, and its Video Intelligence Platform (VIP), a software suite that runs real-time image processing and event recognition at the edge using algorithms built specifically for the space environment. The platform supports space domain awareness, rendezvous and proximity operations, autonomous navigation, and on-orbit health monitoring. Founder and CEO Nicolaas Verheem previously founded Teradek, which introduced wireless, low-latency video transmission to film and television production, and carried that expertise into the space domain when he started TRL11 in Irvine, California in 2022. The company has partnered with Starris: Optimax Space Systems to deliver combined optical and AI video payloads capable of characterizing resident space objects at distances beyond 20 kilometers.
