Global satellite-based mobility communications provider serving maritime, aerospace, land, and government sectors
Vizada was an independent provider of global mobile and fixed satellite communications services, formed in 2007 when Apax Partners merged France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications and Telenor Satellite Services. It operated three subsidiaries—Vizada, Vizada Networks, and Marlink—serving markets including maritime, oil and gas, defense, government, and NGOs. In 2011, EADS acquired Vizada for approximately 673 million euros and integrated it into its Astrium space division.
