Designs and mass-manufactures standardized satellite bus platforms for commercial and government constellation deployments across LEO, MEO, and GEO orbits
Apex is a Los Angeles-based space technology company founded in 2022 to solve one of the space industry's biggest bottlenecks: scaled satellite manufacturing. Rather than building bespoke spacecraft, Apex designs standardized, configurable satellite bus platforms that can be manufactured at constellation scale with short lead times.
The company operates three product families. Aries is a configurable mid-sized bus in serial production for LEO and GEO missions. Nova is an adaptable LEO constellation bus for communications, sensing, and missile warning payloads. Comet is a large-format bus for power-hungry payloads requiring 5+ kW, with a flat-pack design optimized for constellation-scale deployment.
Apex manufactures from its Factory One facility in Los Angeles with a vertically integrated production line capable of producing over 200 satellites per year. The company has raised over $500 million in venture funding and serves both commercial constellation operators and U.S. government defense customers.
