HEO
Provides on-demand non-Earth imagery and intelligence on satellites and space objects using a distributed network of space-based sensors and proprietary inspection software
HEO operates a commercial non-Earth imaging (NEI) platform that delivers on-demand, high-frequency imagery and characterization of satellites, spacecraft, and debris across Earth orbit. The company leverages a distributed network of over 40 space-based sensors, combining partnerships with existing Earth observation satellite constellations and its own proprietary NEI cameras deployed as hosted payloads. Its software platform, HEO Inspect, enables customers to task imaging missions, initiate captures, and retrieve imagery and analytical insights through a web application and API.
Founded in 2016 in Sydney by Dr. Will Crowe and Dr. Hiranya Jayakody, HEO serves defense, intelligence, civil government, and commercial satellite operators. The company has completed over 4,500 NEI missions across more than 800 unique space objects. In early 2026, HEO acquired Satellogic's NewSat-34 satellite, its first fully owned and operated in-orbit asset. HEO maintains offices in Sydney, Arlington (Virginia), and London, and counts the NRO, U.S. Space Force, and Australian Defence among its customers.
