Look Up Space

Look Up Space provides space situational awareness (SSA) and space domain awareness (SDA) solutions for defense, civil, and commercial operators. The company develops SORASYS, a network of ground-based surveillance and tracking radars capable of detecting objects smaller than 10 centimeters in low Earth orbit with high revisit rates. Its first radar became operational in Lozere, France, with additional units planned for deployment to achieve near-persistent detection capability by 2027. Look Up Space also builds SYNAPSE, a hybrid digital platform that fuses data from multiple sensor types to deliver real-time orbital tracking, collision risk prediction, maneuver recommendations, and threat detection. The platform serves both civil and military applications through API access or a graphical interface. Founded in 2022 by former French Space Commander Michel Friedling and former CNES space surveillance lead Juan Carlos Dolado Perez, the company is headquartered in Toulouse with offices in Paris and raised approximately €50 million in a Series A round in June 2025.
