LeoLabs operates a global network of ground-based phased-array radars to track objects in low Earth orbit, providing orbital intelligence to defense agencies, civil government bodies, and commercial satellite operators. The company deploys multiple radar types across sites in Texas, Alaska, New Zealand, Australia, the Azores, Costa Rica, Arizona, and Argentina, with additional sites in development. Its S-band Tracker radars detect debris as small as 10 centimeters, while next-generation Seeker UHF radars extend coverage to MEO and GEO altitudes. Scout, a truck-mounted expeditionary radar, enables rapid deployment to strategic regions, and the Ranger system targets sub-catalog debris detection.
LeoLabs processes radar data through its Vertex cloud platform, delivering real-time conjunction assessments, maneuver detection, pattern-of-life analysis, and collision avoidance alerts via API and web dashboards. The platform catalogs more than 23,000 objects with sub-17-meter state vector accuracy and two-minute data latency. Customers include the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Department of Commerce Traffic Coordination System for Space, and Japan Ministry of Defense. Founded in 2016 as a spin-out from SRI International, LeoLabs is headquartered in Menlo Park, California.
