Privateer
Operates an all-domain geospatial intelligence platform that fuses satellite, terrestrial, and maritime data sources with AI-driven analytics for government and commercial customers
Privateer develops and operates Elements, an all-domain data fusion platform that integrates satellite imagery, AIS vessel tracking, RF signals, and terrestrial data sources to deliver AI-powered geospatial intelligence across land, sea, air, space, and cyber domains. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Kihei, Hawaii, the company was co-founded by Steve Wozniak and Alex Fielding.
The platform serves both government and commercial customers with pre-built and customizable analytics solutions. Government applications include maritime surveillance, space domain awareness, automated target recognition, and disaster response. Commercial applications cover supply chain visibility, trade route optimization, environmental monitoring, and competitive landscape analysis. Privateer acquired geospatial analytics firm Orbital Insight in 2024, integrating its TerraScope Earth observation platform and NGA contract portfolio. The company also produces Pono, an AI-powered edge compute module deployed as a hosted payload on satellites for on-orbit data processing and machine learning. Privateer operates Wayfinder, an open-access space object tracking and visualization tool used for conjunction analysis and space traffic management.
Provides on-demand non-Earth imagery and intelligence on satellites and space objects using a distributed network of space-based sensors and proprietary inspection software
Operates orbital transfer vehicles for last-mile satellite delivery, hosted payload services, space cloud computing, and in-orbit servicing
Operates a high-revisit Earth observation constellation and AI-powered Spectra platform for real-time geospatial intelligence and automated monitoring
