Morpheus Space
Develops field emission electric propulsion (FEEP) systems for satellite mobility, station keeping, constellation management, and deorbiting.
About
Morpheus Space designs and manufactures field emission electric propulsion (FEEP) systems for satellite mobility. Founded in 2018 as a spinout from the Technical University of Dresden, the company produces the GO-2 electric propulsion system, a modular plug-and-play unit containing 40 individually controlled thrusters with solid metallic propellant and no moving parts, chemicals, or pressurization. The GO-2 supports station keeping, constellation management, collision avoidance, orbit raising, and end-of-life deorbiting for spacecraft from 6U cubesats and up.
The company completed a successful in-orbit demonstration of the GO-2 in July 2025 aboard a D-Orbit spacecraft, validating thrust characterization, individual thruster control, and system performance in LEO. Morpheus Space operates a dedicated mass-production facility called Reloaded in Dresden, targeting output of 100 GO-2 units per year. Headquartered in El Segundo, California, with manufacturing in Dresden, Germany, the company has raised $45 million in total funding.
