ArianeGroup's European centre of excellence for satellite and spacecraft propulsion systems
The Orbital Propulsion Centre (LAM) is a division of ArianeGroup headquartered in Lampoldshausen, Germany, founded in 1963. It develops and produces chemical and electric propulsion systems, thrusters, apogee motors, propellant tanks, and valves for satellites, orbital spacecraft, interplanetary missions, and re-entry vehicles. The centre supplies complete propulsion systems and subsystems to all European prime contractors—including Airbus, OHB, and Thales Alenia Space—as well as customers worldwide, and provides total ground support services including hot fire testing, propellant loading, and launch campaign support.
