Axiom Space
Develops commercial space station modules, operates private astronaut missions to the ISS, and produces next-generation EVA spacesuits
Axiom Space designs and constructs modular commercial space station infrastructure and operates private astronaut missions to the International Space Station. The company is building Axiom Station, beginning with modules manufactured with Thales Alenia Space, designed to initially attach to the ISS before separating to form a free-flying commercial station after ISS retirement around 2030.
Axiom has completed four crewed missions to the ISS using SpaceX Crew Dragon vehicles, with a fifth planned for January 2027. The company also produces the AxEMU spacesuit, selected by NASA for the Artemis III lunar surface mission. Based in Houston, Texas, Axiom offers end-to-end mission management, astronaut training, on-orbit research platforms, in-space manufacturing, and orbital data center services. The company has raised approximately $850 million in total funding.
