Blue Origin
Develops reusable heavy-lift launch vehicles, rocket engines, lunar landers, in-space logistics platforms, and satellite communications constellations
Blue Origin designs and manufactures reusable launch vehicles, rocket engines, lunar landers, and in-space transportation systems. Its flagship orbital vehicle, New Glenn, carries 45 metric tons to low Earth orbit and features a first stage designed for 25 reuse cycles powered by seven BE-4 engines. Blue Origin also produces the BE-4 engine for United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur and manufactures the BE-3U upper-stage and BE-7 lunar descent engines.
The company's Blue Moon program develops lunar landers for NASA's Artemis program under the Sustaining Lunar Development contract. Blue Ring is a multi-mission orbital platform providing payload hosting, transportation, refueling, and data relay from MEO to cislunar space. TeraWave is a planned 5,408-satellite constellation designed to deliver up to 6 Tbps of symmetrical bandwidth for enterprise and government customers.
Blue Origin operates launch facilities at Cape Canaveral, manufactures engines in Huntsville, Alabama, and maintains its headquarters in Kent, Washington. Founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos, the company is led by CEO Dave Limp.
