Eutelsat Group
Operates a multi-orbit satellite fleet combining 33 geostationary satellites and a 600+ LEO constellation to deliver broadcast, broadband, and connectivity services globally
Eutelsat Group is a satellite communications operator headquartered in Paris, providing broadcast, broadband, and connectivity services worldwide. The company operates a hybrid fleet of 33 geostationary satellites at key orbital positions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, combined with the OneWeb low Earth orbit constellation of more than 600 satellites. This GEO-LEO architecture makes Eutelsat the first fully integrated multi-orbit satellite operator. The company serves broadcasters, governments, enterprises, telecom operators, and maritime and aviation customers. Its GEO satellites deliver approximately 6,500 television channels to over one billion viewers globally. The OneWeb LEO constellation provides high-speed, low-latency connectivity including pole-to-pole coverage. Eutelsat is a founding member of the SpaceRISE consortium behind the European Union IRIS2 sovereign connectivity program. Originally established as an intergovernmental organization in 1977, the company was privatized in 2001 and listed on Euronext Paris in 2005. The 2023 merger with OneWeb created the current Eutelsat Group structure.
