Designs and operates lunar landers, data relay satellites, and infrastructure services to commercialize access to the Moon.

About

Intuitive Machines designs, builds, and operates spacecraft and space infrastructure focused on lunar access and the cislunar economy. The company provides services through three business lines: Delivery Services, centered on the flight-proven Nova-C light-cargo lunar lander and the in-development Nova-D heavy-cargo lander; Data Transmission Services, comprising a planned constellation of lunar data relay satellites and a global ground station network supporting S-band, X-band, and Ka-band communications; and Infrastructure as a Service, including the Moon RACER lunar terrain vehicle, prospecting capabilities, and fission surface power development through the IX joint venture with X-energy.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, Intuitive Machines achieved the first commercial lunar landing with the IM-1 mission in February 2024 under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program. The company has since expanded through the acquisitions of KinetX Aerospace, adding deep space navigation capability, and Lanteris Space Systems (formerly Maxar Space Systems), adding spacecraft manufacturing capacity. Intuitive Machines also develops the Zephyr Earth reentry vehicle for returning space-manufactured payloads and operates an orbital transfer vehicle program for national security customers. The company trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker LUNR.
