Kymeta Corporation designs and manufactures electronically steered flat-panel satellite antennas using proprietary metamaterial surface antenna technology (MSAT). Founded in 2012 as a spinout from Intellectual Ventures, the company is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Kymeta's core technology uses liquid crystal-tuned metasurfaces to enable electronic beam steering without mechanical parts, supporting simultaneous operation across Ku and Ka satellite bands in a single compact aperture. The u8 product line includes terminal families for defense, intelligence, maritime, and general connectivity applications, all supporting hybrid multi-orbit connectivity that switches dynamically between LEO, GEO, and cellular networks.
