Space Forge
Manufactures advanced semiconductor materials and alloys in microgravity using reusable, returnable satellite platforms for return to Earth
Space Forge develops reusable, returnable satellite platforms for manufacturing advanced materials in microgravity. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Cardiff, Wales, the company operates its ForgeStar platform in low Earth orbit, producing semiconductor substrates, pharmaceutical compounds, and superalloys that cannot be fabricated under terrestrial conditions. The ForgeStar platform features a proprietary heat shield and recovery system called Pridwen for precision reentry and landing. Space Forge uses space-grown crystal seeds to manufacture ultra-high-quality semiconductor substrates on Earth for power electronics, telecommunications, and quantum computing. The company launched its first in-space manufacturing satellite, ForgeStar-1, in June 2025.
