Designs, manufactures, and operates liquid oxygen-methane launch vehicles for commercial satellite deployment and space station cargo missions
LandSpace Technology designs, manufactures, and operates liquid oxygen-methane launch vehicles for commercial satellite deployment. Founded in 2015, the company became the first in the world to orbit a methane-fueled rocket with the Zhuque-2 in July 2023. The ZQ-2E is a medium-lift vehicle delivering 4,000 kg to sun-synchronous orbit or 6,000 kg to LEO.
The company is developing the Zhuque-3, a larger reusable stainless-steel vehicle with 900 tons of takeoff thrust, using grid fins and landing legs for vertical first-stage recovery. Its maiden orbital flight took place in December 2025. LandSpace operates a vertically integrated chain spanning propulsion R&D in Xi'an, manufacturing in Huzhou, assembly in Jiaxing, and launches from its self-built pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The company has raised over $485 million and is preparing for a listing on the Shanghai STAR Market.
