Builds multi-sensor imaging satellites that fuse SAR and optical data in a single pass for all-weather, day-and-night Earth observation

About

GalaxEye is an Indian space technology company developing the Mission Drishti satellite, which carries both a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensor and a seven-band multispectral imager (MSI) on a single platform. The company's proprietary SyncFusion technology co-locates both sensors on one optical bench, capturing radar and optical data simultaneously in a single pass to eliminate parallax and temporal-gap errors that arise when fusing imagery from separate satellites. The fused OptoSAR product delivers 1.8-meter resolution imagery in all weather conditions, day and night. Mission Drishti is India's largest privately built satellite and is scheduled to launch aboard a SpaceX Transporter mission. GalaxEye validated its sensor technology through over 400 test flights on drones, aircraft, and high-altitude platforms, including trials with the Indian Army and a space technology demonstration on an ISRO POEM mission. Founded in 2021 by a team of IIT Madras engineers, the company is headquartered in Bengaluru with offices in Chennai. Applications span defense intelligence, infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, and environmental observation.
