Manufactures and operates the world's largest synthetic aperture radar satellite constellation, providing persistent Earth observation data and natural catastrophe analytics
ICEYE designs, manufactures, and operates the world's largest constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) microsatellites, with over 60 satellites launched since 2018. The constellation provides sub-six-hour global revisit times and imaging at resolutions down to 25 centimeters, with SAR technology enabling all-weather, day-and-night data collection.
The company serves customers across defense, insurance, emergency management, maritime, and environmental sectors. Its natural catastrophe analytics platform provides building-level flood, wildfire, and hurricane impact assessments used by insurers and government agencies including FEMA. ICEYE also delivers sovereign satellite systems to national governments with a federated architecture for allied capacity sharing.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Espoo, Finland, ICEYE operates through strategic partnerships including Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions, which secured a EUR 1.7 billion German Bundeswehr space reconnaissance contract in 2025. ICEYE US, based in Irvine, California, serves U.S. government and defense customers.
